DPI Cant Do It Alone, please help fill our
umbrella!
The
Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious,
educational and scientific purposes, including for such purposes, the
making of distributions to organizations that qualify as an exempt
organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, or
the corresponding section of any future federal tax code
Displaced People International is
establishing a history of obtaining funding for our programs. Our
organization survives from year to year through our financial efficiency
with the funding we obtain. The organization is confident in its ability
to receive ongoing funding for its programs, and is expected to have the
support of foundations for its continuous support.
In addition to these monies, the
Director will increase the amount of unrestricted funds for the
organization through the solicitation of corporate sponsorships and
fundraising events. In the past the organization has received individual
donations, and during the end of 2008 the growth rate of the individual
donor base is expected to increase exponentially. In-kind donations will
provide an additional source of revenue for all programs. We plan to
continue funding our organization in this manner as long as it is
necessary. We anticipate bringing the need to the attention of area
legislators, in hopes that eventually a permanent funding source for
these activities will be established through state or county government.
